The final passenger to come to the show - little Fred the Dachshund
Little Frederick here is the last friend to come along to the show tomorrow. He looks vibrant on the apple green background with the heather tweed backing. 13"x17" cushion with feather infill.

The last push before the Show
It's only four days till the Blackwater Country Show so I've spent the last couple of days making cushions and bags.
I got inspired by the country theme and produced these two cushions with hare prints on the front. The fabric on the back is a most gorgeous heather-coloured wool tweed and the front is a very soft cotton/linen mix. I just love them!
Also on my 'Doing list' today were a whole load of oilcloth bags. There is a variety of the simple 'Saturday Shopper' and bags with inner pockets or magnetic clasps.

Cushion with swallow print
Back with my favourite tartan and pale blue wool fabric, I've been exploring the flight of the swallow. These elegant birds will be buzzing round our place very soon. As an addition to my current range of products I have been printing on lamp shades. The swallow looks particularly good on them. Will post pictures at a later date.

Cushion with duck prints
Inspired by Easter and all the spring activities, I have created these two gorgeous cushions with mother duck and ducklings. Don't they look nice on my pink chair?
The front is made from a lovely pastel-coloured woll mix while the back features a funky check pattern in cotton. Size 18"x18" (46cm x 46cm).

Cushion with flying ducks
I'm taking a little break at the moment with home improvements underway. But while I'm busy with the diy, spring is approaching steadily. The wildlife activities out on the marsh have inspired me to this print on 100% linen. A lot of our migrating birds will be on their way home soon and the days are getting longer. This is reflected in the lovely pale blue colouring on the front of this cushion. The back is a neutral oatmeal colour.
The fill is 100% feather. Size 14"x14" (35.5cm x 35.5cm).

Cushion with dachshund print
For all those dog-lovers a fun long cushion with one of those lovely little characterful dog breeds. The front is a plain 100% linen material with dog print in grey, the back is a fully patterned tartan fabric in purple and mustard 100% cotton. I'm intending to make a second one so they can adorn a sofa as a pair. Size 20" x 10" (51cm x 25.5cm)

Cushion with avocet print
The avocet is a beautiful wading bird on the marsh. It feeds where the mud and water meet and can be seen this time of the year. With its prominently curved beak, the avocet is a very recognisable bird, perfect to go on this water-inspired cushion.
The front is made from a very heavy and durable cotton mix while the back features a touchy-feely chenille in pale blue. Size 16"x16" (40.5cm x 40.5cm).

Cushion with marsh harrier print
My latest project is to make these lovely cushions inspired by the wildlife on and around the marsh. I have chosen traditionally patterned fabrics with a luscious feel (100% wool in this case).
The print appears on the plain fabric while the other side of the cushion is patterned throughout. The fill is 100% feather. Size 14"x14" (35.5cm x 35.5cm).
