Little Fish in oil

This fishy oilcloth has been upgraded to a lovely gussett-style handbag with a japanese inspired cotton lining. It has an inner pocket and magnetic clasp and I found some perfectly matching cotton handles.

Oilcloth bag with seagulls

I came across this lovely fabric at the weekend and have turned it into the latest item in the nautical range. The format has changed to vertical which fits perfectly for any A4 paper and files.

The last push before the Show

It's only four days till the Blackwater Country Show so I've spent the last couple of days making cushions and bags.
I got inspired by the country theme and produced these two cushions with hare prints on the front. The fabric on the back is a most gorgeous heather-coloured wool tweed and the front is a very soft cotton/linen mix. I just love them!

Also on my 'Doing list' today were a whole load of oilcloth bags. There is a variety of the simple 'Saturday Shopper' and bags with inner pockets or magnetic clasps.

Vintage rose oilcloth handbag

My latest range is the handbag with magnetic clasp. In principle very similar to the medium oilcloth bag but with inner pockets, clasp and and tucked in sides to make it a little more secure. I just love the fresh turquoise bag with red roses. The cotton lining matches the outside with its polkadot pattern.

Deep sea bag

This colourful cotton bag with prints from the under-water world is one of my favourite ones at the moment. I have given it a red waterproof bottom to be hardwearing all year round. The red picks up the crabs on one side and comes back in the handles. The cotton mix lining is a calm pale blue with a seaweed print pocket.

Shoulder bag for all weathers

This is my latest bag design - brilliant for all weathers as it's completely waterproof! The top part folds down when closed and is fastened with a lovely shackle borrowed from the world of sailing dinghies (easy to operate with one hand). It comes with a wide adjustable shoulder strap in black.
The bag is oilcloth on the outside with a cotton mix lining. Size approx. 30cm x 30cm.

Spring/summer collection has arrived!

As it is getting busy on the water here, I thought it was about time I do a maritime inspired oilcloth bag. The cotton lining has got a deckchair feel about it. It is fitted with an inner pocket and magnetic clasp.

Seed heads in oil

This is one of my favourites patterns - Sanderson's 50s style seed heads with a matching turquise inner lining. I have tried other colour linings as well.

Man's best friend in blue

An old favourite is now available in blue. The 'man's best friend' has a white and blue striped cotton inside, which is reflected on the handles with thin white pin stripes.

Flowers & Birds

This bright little bag is 30cm x 30cm with the same lining as the 'Little Roses' - ideal for any little girl.

Little Roses

This is part of the spring collection. The bag is lined with a fresh, stripy cotton fabric.

Dotty bag

This is my favourite "throw-everything-in" oilcloth bag for the winter. It measures 40cm in width and 30cm in height, has red lining, an inner pocket for purse and mobile and a key hook. The handles can come in red or black as an alternative.

Big Apple in oil

My favourite fabric at the moment! This tote bag is approx. 30 x 30cm with a postbox red lining. It is so beautifully retro and just right for autumn.

Man's best friend in oil

I love this simple and sturdy oilcloth bag. It measures 40cm across by 32cm high. The lining is a postbox red and to keep the cost down I have kept the inside without frills. The perfect gift for any dog lover.
